TRIXSTAR BRINGS REALITY SERIES HUNK TO CALGARY

What’s hotter than a night out during the internationally renowned Stampede, the summer extravaganza July event in Calgary? A hot guy like Jake Pavelka of Bachelor fame cruising the night life. Trixstar Productions is bringing the reality series star to the Vinyl Retro Dance Lounge in Calgary during on July 12th during Stampede week. Trixstar Productions has been getting more and more requests from venues in Calgary to amp up their live events.

Many people think that Calgary is the big live event city in Alberta”, says Mike Anderson, “But the truth is they’re just starting to open up a little more compared to Edmonton that has been hosting far more live events and live concerts. The fact that they want to do more is a good thing, seeing as Calgary is a stone’s throw away from the Rockies. The more Calgary does in terms of live events and celebrity appearances, the more everyone benefits right though to places like Banff and Jasper. It’s easier to book celebrities cost effectively when you can get them into a few locations inside a few days. Everybody wins.”

Pavelka first appeared on TV as a contestant on season 5 of the ABC’s reality show, ‘The Bachelorette’. Although he was eliminated, ABC brought him back to star in season 14 of ‘The Bachelor’. The series ended with Pavelka proposing marriage to Vienna Girardi. In June 2010, the couple split up.
After ‘The Bachelor’, Pavelka put on his dancing shoes as one of the celebrity contestants for season 10 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. He and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, were the fifth dancing team to be eliminated. In July 2011, Pavelka was announced as a contestant on season 2 of the ‘Bachelor Pad’. He was a contestant on VH1's reality series, ‘Famous Food’. Pavelka also appeared on an episode of CW's reality show, H8R. He has guest starred on ‘Drop Dead Diva’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’.

Trixstar’s Mike Anderson summarizes Pavelka’s ongoing connection to his fans this way. “Sounds cliché, but he’s the epitome of the idea that guys want to be him, and women want to be with him. Calgary’s going to love him.”

TRIXSTAR KICKS OFF THE SEASON WITH THE ESKS

Trixstar Productions has its hands full producing six live events during the Edmonton Eskimos 2012 season. Over the past couple of years, the CFL football franchise and Trixstar Productions have worked together on the 2010 Grey Cup Festival. Various successful live events have now led to a full production slate of shows featuring a wide range of headliners.
As a live event production company, you really have to be on your toes during a sporting event situation. You only have so many minutes to execute a show during half time”, says Trixstar’s Mike Anderson. “We earned the confidence of the Eskimos management team because we showed them we could execute a live event in tight time frames consistently, over and over.”

The live event roster is a handful. June 30th, it’s the home opener against the Toronto Argos with Finger Eleven performing at half time and during the after game show at the new Field House. On July 13th, Jake Pavelka (The Bachelor, Bachelor Pad, Dancing With the Stars) will be hosting the Woman's Night Half Time Show. Salt N Pepa makes an appearance at half time on August 10th. Country star Dallas Smith will perform September 22nd for both the half time show as well as the after game show at the Field House as part of CISN's 30th Birthday Bash. Then on October 13, the Shaw Conference Centre's famous ‘Rocktoberfest’ will move to Commonwealth Stadium's Field House and will be rechristened as ‘Pinktober Fest’ for what will be a highly charged after party following the game against Saskatchewan. The season wraps up with a half time performance featuring Vanilla Ice on November 2nd as well as a pperformance at the after show at the Field House as part of fan appreciation night.

Trixstar Productions will have a chance to really get into a rhythm and continue to build the scope in terms of live event production and live event management”, says Anderson.
